never say never
mmm ohkay so people i owe you updates.
there you go: the malaysia world band competition journey
chung ling butterworth high school band.
first day of practice. before hellish days.
1 2 3 4 5 6 seven 8 shit shit concentrate
maestoso. grandly.
tatatata.
judges to please.
dataran something.
terengganu. the land of coconut trees and, still coconut trees.
on the road home, we saw banjaran titiwangsa. it's was around twilight. the clouds blanketed the mountains and the sun dyed it a reddish hue.
sunset. takes my breath away. each and every time. i wish there was a better picture to show you guys.
oh, and at night there were many many stars too. at tasik temenggong. the stars filled the sky, i swear i thought i was going dizzy, but when i rubbed my eyes and look outside the bus window, there were there. millions and zillions of them. i've never ever seen that much of stars, right before my eyes. grammy award moment, trust me. actually, i think that's the nearest-and easiest- to achieve a grammy award moment.
(hinthint future boyfriend do take me there xD )
mmmm. i'll post the kuala lumpur part soon.
yeah, i suck at keeping promises so soon is all you're gonna get.
i wouldn't want any brokenhearts.
I've read an awful lot this week, after being freed from the band dungeon. ooops, i meant band room.
wicked lovely by melissa marr is terribly good.
oh shit my mom's back. gotta run! maths homework, jeez.

ohhhhh SABRINA thank you so much for mentioning me in your posts and plurk!
ahaha, i feel like a superstar... or maybe even lady GAGA (that's what isabelle said x)
ohkay... mmm i have nothing more to write.
oh wait there's something.
(excuse my invisble punctuations)
I COMPETED IN THE MALAYSIA WORLD BAND COMPETITION!
booyah! *does the hula*
yeah i know it's only the street parade(but hey they closed down jalan ampang for us so it STILL should be considered a big thing BUT *deep breath* WORLD! there's a "world" word in the name and it's an international thingie with south africans leaving their giraffes and capes (cape town maaah right? ;D) and goddamn awesome indonesian and thai percussionists...jeez i could go on forever and ever and ever and... well you get the idea.
or you could always use your imagination (:
Seriously, the Garuda team from Indonesia was goddamn fantastic. and also the one with the red sparkly uniform. and the one with ohwow biggie snares. yes this is country gal goes to big city and meets big guns. or drums would be more accurate. ha.
The Indonesian bands changed my perspective of their country. Really. How many hours and days and nights did they trained and sweat to achieve their greatness that I saw at the drum battle? What did they endure to climb to the heights? Do their blisters hurt when they grip the sticks? Or are they immune to such pain when are blinded by the passion to success, to win, to be the champions of percussion?
I salute to ya'll. The thai too. Great technique and skills.
(I especially enjoyed the part where the muscles of the quad players bulged) but at the end of the day, I think the Indos are better. mmm yeah they ROCK. awesome routine and i absolutely loved their variations and crescendoes and decrescendoes... accents... doublestrokes... one word- AWESOME. so freakin awesome. possum.
yes i was starstruck. still am, i think.
psst renie sab loki sama tofu ;D see you tomorrow at ou!

the little things
oh wow i have a new phone number. it has my school number in it.
(: it has been a happy day. one i hadn't had in days.
i mean a laugh-out-loud-oh-hell-i'm-havin-fun day. mmm.
even though my day ended a few hours ago, I feel nostalgic. I can see myself staring wistfully at the sunset at the field, myself loving the surprisingly absent presence of seriousness, Julie poking me in the ribs and the friendly speckled trombone player.
wow. even though im still STUCK with those freakin cymbals-bah, humbug-, I figured that it's okay. I'm still a junior, and there are many-scratch that, it's only 3-years to come. till then, my beloved snare.
oh yeah since im competing in the malaysia world band competition-whoohoo- i'll be at ipoh and kl.
just so you know (;
